Celebrating Community Service!

Volunteers are the heart of our community. In January, Oscar Foss Memorial Library hosted the third annual Volunteer Appreciation Day, an event designed to honor the incredible individuals who make Barnstead a welcoming and vibrant place to live.

The event brought together volunteers from various non-profits, local groups, and town committees, all of whom play an essential role in enriching our town. Their hard work and commitment help strengthen our community, making it a better place for everyone.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the Gordon Preston Outstanding Community Service Award. This year’s award was given to Kate Crary for her exceptional contributions, unwavering dedication, and tireless efforts to bring people together for the benefit of our community.
